• Shape Activity:
- Paint or color the Star and Circle Poster. If the child is ready, use the Star and Circle Dotted Line Poster and trace the shapes.
• Color Activity:
Color using purple, brown, and white crayons. Be sure to press hard. When finished, paint over the colors with black paint. The black paint will not attach to the wax crayon.
• Number:
Using the Apple Tree Number Book, point and count the apples on the tree. Continue to point and count items you find throughout the day.
• Fine Motor Skill:
While holding a pencil correctly, draw lines and circles. If the child does not hold a pencil correctly read some tips. Help the child place his/her pencil on the green dot, draw along the yellow, and stop at the red dot. Say "go" and "stop" when on the corresponding colors. Some children will not be ready for this activity and that is okay. Continue to work on fine-motor activities to increase the child's fine motor control.
• Gross Motor Skill:
Play "Follow the Leader" - As the leader, be sure to do activities that involve gross motor skills (crawling, jumping, rolling, etc.)
