Favorite Authors and Books for Late-Elementary Aged Children - 3rd to 5th Grade
Suggestions made by ABCJLM families and ours. Many of these books are parts of a series.
Books on this page are for reading levels 3rd grade to 5th grade. Use the lower level books for independent reading when appropriate for the child. Choose books a couple of levels above the child's reading level when reading aloud. For example, a 5th grade reading level would most likely be too difficult for a 3rd grade child to read on his/her own but would be perfect for an adult to read out loud to the child.
