• Last night, as I knelt in prayer, I cried before my Father. I was so overwhelmed that I just laid it all down at my Lord's feet. I prayed, "Lord please help me! I don't know if I can do this. I know that you want me to homeschool my kids, but I just don't see how I can. I don't know where to begin. I feel so overwhelmed by all the information and I'm terrified that I'm going to mess up. Please Lord, help me to know how to obey You in this." The Lord answered part of that prayer just now. You see, I have five children and this will be my first year to homeschool. I have spent months on the internet researching the subject and am now going through thousands of websites that I have saved to my "favorites". I have websites in every possible category of education and then some. This month I was starting to make my weekly/monthly/yearly curriculum planners for my children, but I had no idea where to begin or what to teach and when. I'm not sure how I found your website, other than the guiding hand of my Lord. My two youngest children's planners are pretty much complete! Thank you so much for your time and effort in creating this sanity-saving website. It is an honest to goodness answered prayer. May God bless you and yours - Pamela
• I just want to thank you for all that you have done to put this curriculum together. I am a certified teacher in the state of Florida, and I have taught for over six years now. Since my daughter came along, we felt if was God's will (as I have always felt since I was a teenager before ever meeting my husband) for me to be home with her. She is an eager learner! Even at the age of 21 months. However, only teaching middle and high school, I was nervous about the primary age even though it was my own child. While in the Dollar Tree one day (one of my favorite stores ;) ), I was glancing at the educational section as it is an addiction of mine. Another lady just happened (God divined) to mention your website. Needless to say my interest was peeked. A few weeks prior to this visit to my favorite store, my daughter began reciting lines from her favorite show, Dora. It really convicted me that she wasn't reciting Jesus Loves Me instead. Great men of the Bible like Daniel and Moses came to mind. Their knowledge of God and who He is came from a foundation from their parents prior to them being taken from their homes. With this in my mind, I was stunned when this lady mentioned to me your website. Although my daughter isn't quite two yet, we have begun the curriculum pulling one week in to two so as not to overwhelm her. I am so impressed and thankful for what you have created and wanted you to know what a blessing it has been to our family. • Hi Momma C.... I have a degree in Education and taught K for 7 years before my husband and I decided to start our family. I've know since before I graduated high school I would home school my children. I now have a 2 year old and a 1 year old. Though we are not "doing school" officially yet, we have certainly started laying the ground work. I have been stockpiling web resources over the past few years. A friend passed your site along to me a week ago. I have to say ....It is FABULOUS!!! My favorite part is the "before you begin" column of links. I have already sent your site to about 5 other women who are just starting in homeschooling, or who have been struggling a little with it. They have strict instructions to read that entire section. I come across many women who have a conviction to homeschool but who have no idea how to get started. They pull "preschool" activities off the internet and do them with their kids but most of the time have no idea why this activity is important in their child's development. I think your "before you begin" section is an excellent comprehensive resource for laying a foundation for parents as they start their homeschool journey or for moms who are looking to get their children ready for K. Thank you for taking the time to put this together. - Hope
