Suggested Activities:

• Review all objectives and books covered in the past weeks, and complete any activities that you were unable to finish.

• Some of the best learning for the child will come in helping you do "adult" chores - cleaning, dusting, sweeping, and laundry.  Give the child a cloth or a broom to help you clean up, or allow them assist you in making the bed. Explaining to the child what you are doing will expand their vocabularies and help develop a servant attitude.

• Fine Motor Skill:
Tear paper - all different kinds in different shapes and sizes.   Demonstrate how to pull half of the paper toward you and the other half push away from you.  Let the child tear, tear, tear.  This will make a mess; but nothing that a broom and dustpan can't handle!  Discuss how it is okay to tear scrap paper but it is not okay to tear anything else.  This really is an important fine motor activity for development.

• Gross Motor Skill:
Sitting across from each other, roll a beach ball back and forth.  Point out the different colors on the ball.
