Items Needed:

Books: The Runaway Pumpkin, Stone Soup, Town Mouse, Country Mouse, Little Rabbit's Loose Tooth
Activities: Block to Block, letter flashcards, sock, laundry basket or box

Objectives:

Character Traits: "Bee" Attitudes - Respect, Servant's Heart, Gentle, Gratitude

Books of the Bible: Genesis - Proverbs

Sight Words :  I, a, the, of, you, and, is, in, was, to, that

Fine Motor Skill:  Draw "My Family"
Gross Motor Skill:  Basketball
Visual Perception Skill:  Block-to-Block

Suggested Activities:

• Letters:
Play "Letter Go Fish" to review letter sounds.  “Do you have a letter that says /a/?”

• Fine Motor Skills:
Write "My Family" on the bottom of a blank piece of paper.  Have your child draw his/her family and correctly trace the letters "My Family".  Your child will be doing this activity periodically throughout the curriculum.  Write the date on the back of the picture and save the picture to compare each time.  The pictures should become more detailed with time.

• Gross Motor Skills:
Play basketball with a rolled up sock and a laundry basket or box.

• Visual Perception Skill:
Block to Block
