Xylophone:
Add rectangular construction paper and draw the mallets to create a xylophone. (Thank you to Amanda for this idea and picture.)
- Cut the letter ‘x’ from newspapers or magazines and glue onto the Xx Poster.
- Paint in an “x” pattern.
- Using a white crayon, draw a little x's on a piece of paper. Paint over and a surprise will appear.
- Role the playdough into ropes and lay on the Xx Poster to create the letters

My "X,Y,Z" Book - by Jane Belk Moncure - Be sure to use the phonetic sound of the letter and not the letter name when reading the book. When we come to a letter, I have my child read the phonetic sound of each letter.
