- Cut a coffee filter in the shape of a fish. Using washable markers, color the fish. Spray the filter with water and watch the colors "swim" together.
- Print the Fish Printable . Paint with water colors. While the paint is still wet, sprinkle with salt. Allow the painting to dry and then brush off the salt. A pretty stained-glass look will be left!

Sponge paint a paper plate light blue. Paint the child's hand and stamp on the plate to form a fish. Wash the child's hand. Paint a finger tip green and stamp at the bottom of the plate to make green plants. End by stamping red fingerprints to create little fish. Using a black marker add fins, a tail, eye, and mouth on the little fish. Add an eye and mouth to the big fish. ( My kiddos made this at a VBS program; original idea unknown.)
- Tissue Paper Fish - Cut a triangle out of a paper plate to make a fish's mouth. Glue the triangle on the back of the paper plate to make the fish's tail. Glue on squares of tissue paper or paint. Add a googly eye.
- Make a Fluffy Fish - Print and cut out both fish. Color and decorate (colored sequins are perfect for this craft). Join together and staple ¾ of the way around. Stuff with paper towels. Finish stapling. Staple a piece of yarn at the mouth. Run holding the fish and make the fish "swim."
- Make fish handprints . Paint the child's hand orange or rainbow. Add a mouth, eyes, water, and air bubbles.
