Direction:  Set a few different colored items in front of the child, gradually adding more as their understanding of colors improves. While singing the song, have the child pick up the yellow object and place it on his/her elbow during the final phrase.

Directions:  Place a few different colored crayons in front of the child, adding more options as their understanding of colors grows. You can also substitute crayons with items like blocks, flashcards, or toy cars for added variety.
