Paper Bag Lamb
Cut out the pieces on the template.  Open up a lunch-sized paper bag and fill with newspaper.  Fold over the end and tape to close.  On the bottom of the sack, glue the lamb face.  Glue the legs to the sides of the bag.  Add a cotton ball tail on the folded top of the bag.

Hide and Seek
Hide a toy sheep in the room.  Set up a sheep pen with blocks or gates.  Have the child look for the lamb and return it to the pen.

Sheep Stuffed Animal  Gather the Sheep
Provide the child with a toy shepherd's staff or cane, and several stuffed-animal sheep.  Spread the sheep through the room or space.  Let the child use the crook of the staff or cane to gather all the sheep, bringing them back to the fold (box or fenced in area).  Tip:  Do this activity yourself to confirm that the sheep and crook are at a proper ratio to actually carry a sheep.
